Oil Sample Analysis/Testing
Why would you need to have your oil tested?
An oil sample analysis is an affordable way of diagnosis that is non-intrusive, it is basically a blood test on how a component is operating.

Let’s use an engine for example, if your engine is making an unusual noise that you have concerns with, an oil sample analysis on your engine will provide us with the vital information regarding your engines operation (including your engine management system). An oil sample analysis report will provide a complete breakdown of anything that is contained in that sample of oil (for example: Fuel content, Copper content, Iron content, oil viscosity and much more).
Another example of where an oil sample analysis would be beneficial, is on a brand-new engine that has just completed the first 1000 KM’s of running. This is called the ‘bedding in phase’ or ‘break in period’.
Once an engine has been properly ‘bed in’ an oil sample analysis report will provide you with vital information to confirm if the engine is running as expected, or if there is an underlying issue present. Early diagnosis could save you tens of thousands of dollars in the long run.
Oil sample analysis reports are often used in legal cases, such as VCAT.
